The Task Force on the Future of Off-Track Betting in New York State was established in 2008 to analyze and make recommendations concerning the optimal utilization of the state’s regional off-track betting system. The Task Force must consult with, among others, the State’s horsemen and breeders regarding the future ability of the off-track betting system to raise revenues for the state and local governments as well as strengthen the racing and breeding industries in New York.
