("NYTB"), a New York not-for-profit corporation, know that you care how information about you is used and shared and we appreciate your trust. This statement describes our privacy policy. You don't have to provide personal information to access or browse our web site. However, if you want to participate in surveys, post to the message board, communicate with us by email, ask us for more information about a program or event or to engage in certain other activities on our site, you'll need to provide us with certain information about yourself. NYTB will share this information with our trusted partners, NYS Breeding and Development Fund. Generally, NYTB collects personal information from you when you visit our website to request more information about our programs, fill out an application to become a NYTB member or post a classified. NYTB also collects credit card information when you fill out a membership application. We will not sell or otherwise provide to third parties personally identifiable data collected via the Internet. However, in the unlikely event that NYTB is merged with or becomes part of another organization, the information you provide will be one of the transferred assets. We also release personal information when we believe it is necessary to comply with the law; to enforce or to apply our Terms and Conditions of Use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of nytbreeders.org, our members, our users or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Automatic Information

The information we gather automatically, which we use to help us tailor our site to the needs and interests of our visitors, consists of your Internet protocol address, browser type, time and date of access and pages accessed. We may gather aggregate, non-personally identifiable information that would be pertinent to the community at large and publish it on our website. We do not use "Cookie" technology in the gathering of such aggregate data.

NYTB has no intention of collecting any personally identifiable information from individuals under thirteen years of age. If an individual under thirteen has provided us with personally identifiable information, a parent or guardian of that individual may contact us at the email address listed at the end of this Privacy Statement if they would like this information deleted from our records. We will delete such information from our databases within a reasonable period of time.

Although we cannot guarantee impenetrability of our servers, we have attempted to establish and implement reasonable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. In the event that our security system is breached, we will attempt to notify you as soon as possible.
