Knicks Go colt, Tacitus filly fare well at FTK July sale

The only two New York-bred yearlings offered at Tuesday’s Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July sale commanded seven-figure bids that both came in significantly higher than the overall auction’s average price.

Hip 63, a filly by Tacitus bred by Apache Farm LLC, sold for $200,000 to Susan Moulton. Consigned by Perrone Sales, agent, the filly is out of the unraced Dixie Union mare Passe and is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner and $904,800-earning New York-bred Wonder Gal.

Winner of the 2015 Empire Distaff Handicap at Belmont Park and the 2017 Ladies Handicap at Aqueduct and placed in three Grade 1 stakes, Wonder Gal is the dam of 2022 champion 2-year-old filly and Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies and Grade 1 Darley Alcibiades winner Wonder Wheel.

Passe is also the dam of Forgone, a 3-year-old New York-bred son of Hard Spun who cost $600,000 at the 2022 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York-bred yearling sale and two-time winner Freefall.

Hip 58, a colt from the first crop of Horse of the Year Knicks Go bred by Dr. Jerry Bilinski and Lou Corrente, sold for $130,000 to Maddie Mattmiller, agent for Black Type and Swinbank Stables. Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent, the colt is out of the More Than Ready mare More Than Magic.

More Than Magic is the dam of five winners, including 2020 Grade 3 Schuylerville Stakes third-place finisher Hopeful Princess.

The two New York-breds sold for an average price of $165,000, which came in 46.7 percent more than the overall sale’s average of $112,461. Fasig-Tipton reported sales on 154 of the 231 yearlings offered during the one-day sale for a total of $17,319,000. That total was down 16.5 percent from last year when 210 yearlings sold for $20,732,000, while the median rose 16.9 percent to $90,000.

The next major yearling sales come during the Saratoga Race Course meeting in Saratoga Springs – the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga sale of selected yearlings August 5-6 and the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York-bred sale August 11-12.


Tiz the Law filly highlights Fasig-Tipton June sale

A filly by Tiz the Law brought the highest price for a New York-bred and a filly by leading New York-based second-crop sire Solomini landed near the top of the results sheet during Tuesday’s Fasig-Tipton Midlantic June 2-year-olds in training sale.

Hip 16, a daughter of two-time New York-bred Horse of the Year and 2020 Belmont and Travers Stakes winner Tiz the Law, sold for $50,000 to Andy Simoff, agent for Imaginary Stable.

Bred by Pine Ridge Stable and consigned by Wes Carter, agent for Lemon Creek Farm, the filly is the third foal out of the winning Smart Strike mare Marcy Darcy. Out of the Grade 1-winning Dixie Union mare Hot Dixie Chick, Marcy Darcy is the dam of the winner Dr. Benny and the New York-bred 3-year-old Flatter colt Palpito.

Purchased by Lemon Creek Farm for $10,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Eastern fall yearling sale, the Tiz the Law filly originally sold as a short yearling for $21,000 at the 2023 Keeneland January horses of all ages sale. She shared honors with two others for the fastest quarter-mile breeze – :21.4 – during presale workouts.

Hip 76, a daughter of New York’s leading 2023 freshman sire Solomini, sold for $39,000 to Ken Kachel. Bred by Seth Gregory, the filly is out of the winning Artie Schiller mare Harlan Light. The filly was consigned by Little Farm Equine LLC, agent.

Solomini, a 9-year-old son of Curlin who topped the New York freshman sire list last year with more than $1.4 million in progeny earnings, stands for $7,500 at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds in Saratoga Springs.

Hip 42, a daughter of Vekoma bred by Hidden Lake Farm LLC and 3C Stables LLC, commanded the second highest price for a New York-bred on a $40,000 bid from Anthony Farrior. Consigned by Navas Equine, agent, the filly is out of the winning Stephen Got Even mare Summer Shade. The filly is a half-sister to a pair of winners led by stakes-placed $240,586-earner Harmon.

Fasig-Tipton reported sales on 15 of the 21 New York-breds offered for a total of $281,500, an average price of $18,767 and median of $15,000.


Vekoma filly, Honest Mischief colt top OBS finale

A filly from the first crop of Grade 1 winner Vekoka landed a $330,000 to highlight the final session of the OBS June 2-year-olds in training sale Friday in Ocala.

Swinbank Stables purchased Hip 1017, the second foal out of the stakes-winning Rockport Harbor mare Grace’s Treasure. Bred by DiRico R&B, LLC, foaled at River Valley Farm in Gansevoort and consigned by Hidden Brook, agent, the filly originally sold for $160,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York-bred yearling sale.

The $330,000 price not only was the highest amount paid for a New York-bred during Friday’s session, but the most expensive for the sale.

Grace’s Treasure won four of 13 starts, including the 2017 Open Mind Stakes at Churchill Downs, and earned $133,924. She was purchased in foal to Bolt d’Oro by Joseph DiRico for $100,000 at the 2020 Keeneland January horses of all ages sale. She produced a filly by Bolt d’Oro, later named Catchphrase. A $200,000 purchased by Maverick Racing/Siena Farm at the 2021 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York-bred yearling sale, Catchphrase is in training at WinStar Farm’s training center in Kentucky.

Grace’s Treasure is also the dam of a yearling colt by Gun Runner and a filly by Candy Ride born March 13, both bred by DiRico.

The Vekoma filly was one of two six-figure New York-breds sold during the session, along with Hip 906, a colt by New York-based freshman sire Honest Mischief who brought $110,000. Purchased by High Point Bloodstock, agent for Richard Greely, the colt is out of the Include mare Memories of Mom.

Bred by Robert Harris, foaled at Saratoga Glen Farm in Schuylerville and consigned by Harris Training Center LLC, agent, the colt is the fourth foal out of Memories of Mom. Her first three foals are by three-time leading New York sire Central Banker and two – the 5-year-old gelding Walk the Bank and 4-year-old gelding Saratoga Banker – are winners.

OBS reported sales on 18 of the 30 New York-breds offered during the final session for $653,400, an average price of $36,300. Overall, 61 New York-breds were sold for $1,850,600, an average price of $30,338.


Central Banker colt brings $140,000 at OBS

A colt by three-time leading New York sire Central Banker sold for $140,000 Thursday to highlight the second session of the OBS June 2-year-olds in training sale in Ocala.

Kim Valerio, agent, signed for Hip 379, a son of Central Banker out of the winning Quality Road mare Adira. From the family of Grade 1 winner Salty, graded stakes winner Vegas Prospector and stakes winner She Rides Tonite, Adira is the dam of New York-bred winners Get the Gold, Box of Joe and Bad Larry and an unraced 2-year-old Goldencents cold Golden Boy Pop.

Consigned by de Meric Sales, agent, and bred by and foaled at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds in Saratoga Springs, the Central Banker colt originally sold for $25,000 to Kathryn Martin at the 2023 OBS winter mixed sale.

Central Banker, a 14-year-old son of Speightstown, stands for $7,500 at McMahon of Saratoga. He currently ranks second on the New York general sire list, with more than $1.7 million in progeny earnings, behind fellow McMahon of Saratoga stallion Bucchero.

McMahon also bred the second highest priced New York-bred that sold during the second session – Hip 382, a colt by classic winnining-New York-bred Tiz the Law that brought $130,000.

Oracle Bloodstock, agent purchased the colt out of the stakes-placed Wild Desert mare Adriatic Dream. A half-brother to the stakes-winning Central Banker filly Niko’s Dream, the colt is also sibling to two other New York-bred winners.

Consigned by Top Line Sales LLC, agent, the colt originally sold for $50,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York-bred yearling sale.

Tiz the Law, a son of Constitution campaigned by Sackatoga Stable, earned New York-bred Horse of the Year honors in 2019 and 2020, along with 2-year-old male and 3-year-old male championships in those respective seasons. He won six of nine starts, including the Belmont Stakes, Travers Stakes and Florida Derby at 3, and earned $2,735,300 over two seasons.

Thursday’s session included another six-figure New York-bred purchase – Hip 656, a daughter of New York-based freshman sire Honest Mischief that brought $100,000 from S. O. K. Racing Partnership. Bred by EKQ Stabls Corp. and foaled at Sugar Maple Farm in Poughquag, the filly is the third foal out of the unraced Irish-bred Smart Strike mare Force Majeure.

Consigned by Julie Davies LLC, agent, the filly originally sold for $80,000 at the 2022 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga fall mixed sale, then brought $60,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York-bred yearling sale.

Honest Mischief, an 8-year-old son of Into Mischief, stands for $6,500 at Sequel Stallions New York in Hudson.

OBS reported sales on 28 of the 34 New York-breds through the ring for $918,700, an average price of $32,811. Overall, 43 New York-breds have sold for $1,197,200, an average price of $27,842, over the first two sessions.

The sale concludes with the final session at 10 a.m. Friday.


Mitole, Bernardini colts highlight OBS June opener

A colt from the second crop of champion sprinter Mitole sold for $62,000 to highlight the New York-bred offerings during the opening session of the OBS June 2-year-olds in training sale Wednesday in Ocala.

Bruce Brown, agent, purchased Hip 186, a colt out of the stakes-placed Dixie Union mare Southern Charmer. Bred by Thomas Mina and foaled at Five Oak Farm in Saratoga Springs, the colt is the eighth foal out of Southern Charmer, who is also the dam of New York-bred winners First Charmer, Southern Gal, Tizgame and Convict.

Southern Charmer is also the dam of a yearling colt by Midnight Lute and a filly by Drain the Clock born February 20, both bred in New York by Mina.

Consigned by Six K’s Training & Sales, the Mitole colt originally was a $35,000 RNA at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York-bred yearling sale.

OBS reported sales on 15 of the 21 New York-breds offered Wednesday for $278,500, an average price of $18,567.

Michael Pender, agent, purchased the second highest priced New York-bred Wednesday, going to $50,000 for Hip 332, a colt from the final crop of champion and classic winner Bernardini.

Bred by Arindel and foaled at Irish Hill Century Farm in Stillwater, the colt is out of the Broken Vow mare Voyelle. A half-brother to stakes-placed winner and $103,390-earner Stephanie’s Charm and stakes-placed $68,087-earner I Dare U, the Bernardini colt is the fifth foal out of Voyelle.

Consigned by Chuy Ceballos, the colt was originally listed as sold for $8,500 at last year’s OBS October yearling sale.

The sale continues with the second of three sessions at 10 a.m. Thursday.


New York-breds in demand at Midlantic finale

The six-figure haul continued Tuesday at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic May 2-year-olds in training sale, with seven New York-breds bringing $140,000 or more including a pair of juveniles by New York-based sire Honest Mischief that brought $190,000 and $260,000.

Fasig-Tipton reported sales on 42 of the 46 New York-breds through the ring during Tuesday’s final session for a total of $2,777,500, an average price of $66,131 and median of $43,500. Overall, 74 New York-breds sold over the two sessions for $4,589,500, an average price of $62,020 and median of $42,000.

A filly from the second crop of champion Mitole brought the highest price of Tuesday’s session and wound up as the most expensive New York-bred at the sale on a final bid of $325,000. Hip 367, who is out of the stakes-placed Tiznow mare Tizjet, sold to KSI.

Bred by McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds LLC and Jeff Gardella and foaled at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds in Saratoga Springs, the filly originally sold out of the McMahon of Saratoga consignment for $25,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York-bred yearling sale. Consigned at the Midlantic sale by Grassroots Training and Sales LLC, agent, the filly is the fourth foal out of Tizjet.

McMahon of Saratoga purchased Tizjet, carrying the Mitole filly in utero, for $30,000 at the 2021 Keeneland November breeding stock sale.

Hip 389, a colt by Honest Mischief out of the unraced Unbridled’s Song mare Vibrato, sold for $260,000 to Clay Scherer, Kerri Radcliffe and Lady Sheila. Bred by Burleson Farms, McKenzie Bloodstock and Sequel Thoroughbreds, foaled at Sequel Stallions New York in Hudson and consigned by Sequel Bloodstock, agent, the colt is the fourth foal out of Vibrato. She’s the dam of stakes-winning New York-bred Navit and four-time winner and $109,245-earner All the Diamonds.

Hip 432, a daughter of Honest Mischief out of the unraced Curlin mare All in Time, sold for $190,000 to Donato Lanni, agent. Bred by Sequel Thoroughbreds LLC and Cypress Creek Equine LLC and foaled at Sequel Stallions New York, the filly previously sold for $20,000 at the 2023 Keeneland January horses of all ages sale and for $25,000 at the 2023 Keeneland September yearling sale. A half-sister to New York-bred winner Stress Reliever and three-time winner and $137,905-earner Libban, the Honest Mischief filly was consigned by Kings Equine, agent.

Honest Mischief, an 8-year-old son of Into Mischief whose first foals are 2-year-olds of 2024, stands for $6,500 at Sequel Stallions New York in Hudson.

The highest-priced New York-bred colt Tuesday – and most expensive at the sale – also sold during the final session. Hip 284, a son of Volatile out of the winning Scat Daddy mare Scat’s Lassie, went to ABC Racing for $280,000.

Bred by Beals Racing Stable LLC and Saratoga Glen Farm and foaled at Saratoga Glen Farm in Schuylerville, the colt is the seventh foal out of Scat’s Lassie and a half-brother to four winners including New York-breds Frat and Shea On a Mission. He originally sold as a weanling for $40,000 at the 2022 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga fall mixed sale and for $50,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York-bred yearling sale.


Volatile colt, Vino Rosso filly top Midlantic opener

Four New York-breds led by a colt by Volatile and filly by Vino Rosso sold for six figures to highlight the opening session of the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic May 2-year-olds in training sale Monday in Timonium, Maryland.

Cash Is King/Alex Zacney went to $250,000 to land the top-priced New York-bred of the day, Hip 136, a son of Volatile out of the winning Storm Cat mare Lexington Girl. Bred by and foaled at Hidden Lake Farm in Stillwater, the colt is the 13th foal out of the full sister to graded stakes winners Magicalmysterycat and Burmilla.

Consigned by LG, agent, the Volatile colt is a half sibling to 11 winners including stakes winners Whirlin Curlin and Lexington Street. He originally sold for $27,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October yearling sale.

Mark Glatt, agent, landed the session’s top-priced New York-bred filly, going to $190,000 for Hip 23, a daughter of Vino Rosso out of the unraced Ghostzapper mare Fear This. Bred by Christopher Shelli and foaled at Fort Christopher’s Thoroughbreds in Fort Edward, the filly is a half sibling to five winners including the New York-bred Violence ridgling and $170,385-earner Gambler’s Fallacy and New York-bred Palace Malice gelding and $105,025-earner Fast N Fearious.

Consigned by de Meric Sales, agent, the Vino Rosso filly originally sold for $45,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York-bred yearling sale.

Fasig-Tipton reported sales on 29 of the 41 New York-breds through the ring Monday for a total of $1,653,000, an average price of $57,000 and median of $40,000.

LEB, agent for West Point Thoroughbreds, paid the highest price of the session for a New York-sired juvenile, going to $85,000 for Hip 216, a daughter of Solomini.

Bred by Amy Boll and Raymond DeStefano and foaled at Buckridge Farm in Kinderhook, the filly is the fourth foal out of the Americain mare Peeress. A full sister to the winning New York-bred 3-year-old colt Solo in Paris, the Solomini filly was consigned by Grassroots Training and Sales LLC. The filly sold twice prior to going through the ring Monday – for $11,000 at the 2022 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga fall mixed sale and for $20,000 at last year’s OBS winter mixed sale.

Solomini, a 9-year-old son of Curlin who stands for $7,500 at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds in Saratoga Springs, ranks third on the Empire State’s general sire list and topped the 2023 New York freshman and juvenile sire lists.

Eye Witness sells for $205,000 at Keeneland

Multiple stakes winner Eye Witness, runner-up in a strong 7-furlong open allowance-optional claimer the day before, sold for $205,000 at Friday’s Keeneland April horses of racing age sale.

Equinox Inc., agent for George Sharp, signed for the 4-year-old son of City of Light offered as Hip 106. Previously campaigned by Westerberg, Mrs. John Magnier, Jonathan Poulin, Derrick Smith and Michael Tabor and trained by Wesley Ward, Eye Witness was bred by Anlyn Farms and is out of the Mr. Greeley mare Gracilia.

Consigned by ELiTE, agent, Eye Witness went through the ring with a record of 3-1-2 from eight starts, including his second to Bourbon Heist in the $121,400 race Thursday, and earnings of $245,690.

A $230,000 weanling at the 2020 Keeneland November breeding stock sale who later brought $650,000 at the 2021 Keeneland September yearling sale, Eye Witness finished third in his debut at 2 before rattling off three straight wins to start his 3-year-old campaign in 2023. The wins included the Animal Kingdom Stakes at Turfway Park and the Paradise Creek Stakes at Belmont Park. Eye Witness also finished third in last year’s Mahony Stakes at Saratoga Race Course.

A half-brother to New York-bred stakes winner More Mischief and stakes-placed winner Myawaya, Eye Witness is the eighth foal out of the Mr. Greeley mare Gracilia. A half-sister to New York-bred champion 2-year-old and 3-year-old and Grade 2 winner Sharp Humor, Gracilia is also the dam of New York-bred winners Scalpeen, Decorator Jenn and Killala Bay.

Gracilia’s 3-year-old New York-bred daughter of Practical Joke sold for $190,000 at the 2023 OBS March sale of selected 2-year-olds in training. She’s made two starts, including a runner-up in an Aqueduct maiden April 6. Gracilia is also the dam of an unnamed 2-year-old New York-bred filly by Game Winner.

The other four New York-breds cataloged for the Keeneland April sale were scratched.


Pair sell for $600,000 to highlight OBS finale

A pair of New York-breds – including a filly by New York-bred Horse of the Year and classic winner Tiz the Law – sold for $600,000 to close out the OBS April 2-year-olds in training sale Friday in Ocala.

Those two juveniles were part of a group of six that sold for $300,000 or more during the four-day sale and two of 25 that brought $100,000 or more. Overall, 58 of the 74 New York-breds through the ring brought $7,392,500, an average price of $127,457 and median of $87,500.

The two $600,000 juveniles sparked a strong final session, which saw 13 New York-breds bring $1,884,500, an average price of $144,962 and median of $50,000. The $600,000 prices were also co-second best at the sale, only behind the $800,000 paid by Donato Lanni, agent for Zedan Racing Stable, for Hip 411, a colt by Vekoma bred by Chester and Mary Broman.

The Tiz the Law filly, offered as Hip 928 out of the On Point Training & Sales consignment, sold to Three Amigos. Bred by Elser & Raine and a $30,000 buy out of last year’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York-bred yearling sale, the filly is out of the stakes-placed Leroidesanimaux mare Animal Appeal.

Animal Appeal is the dam of New York-bred wines Ableton (by Twirling Candy) and Sandy Sweet Tooth (by Blame), who were also bred by Elser & Raine. Animal Appeal, a New York-bred who won four of 14 starts and $220,298, sold in foal to Twirling Candy for $35,000 at the 2018 Keeneland November breeding stock sale. She sold in foal to Solomini for $9,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga fall mixed sale.

Tiz the Law, named New York-bred Horse of the Year and champion 3-year-old male in 2020, won six of nine starts and earned $2,735,300. He won the Grade 1 Champagne at 2 before a sophomore campaign – interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic – featuring victories in the Grade 1 Curlin Florida Derby, Grade 1 Belmont Stakes and Grade 1 Travers Stakes. He stands at Coolmore’s Ashford Stud in Kentucky and his first foals are 2-year-olds.

Hip 972, the son of Quality Road named Metallix, went to Pedro Lanz, agent for KAS Stables for $600,000.

Bred by Chester and Mary Broman and foaled at their Chestertown Farm in Chestertown, the colt is out of New York-bred champion and Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint winner Bar of Gold. A half-brother to graded stakes winner Coinage, the colt breezed an eighth in :10 during presale workouts.

Consigned by Sequel Bloodstock, agent for the Bromans, the colt is the fourth foal out of the 12-year-old Medaglia d’Oro mare Bar of Gold. Coinage, a 5-year-old son of Tapit who remains in training, has won three of 20 starts including the Grade 3 With Anticipation in 2021 and Palm Beach Stakes in 2022 and earned $354,272. She’s also the dam of Coinage’s 3-year-old full brother Slammin Gold, a winner for the Bromans last fall at Aqueduct; and the 4-year-old Justify colt Chilligan, who sold for $825,000 at the 2021 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga yearling sale.

The Bromans also bred and Sequel sold the top-priced New York-bred, the colt by Vekoma named Rookie Racer who brought $800,000 during the second session. Offered as Hip 411 and foaled at Chestertown Farm, the colt is the seventh foal out of Newbie, who is the dam of Grade 3 winner Classy Edition, multiple stakes winner and $516,738-earner Newly Minted and stakes-placed winner New Girl in Town.

Classy Edition, who sold for $550,000 at the 2021 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic May sale, won six of 10 starts including the Grade 3 Royal Delta in 2023 at Gulfstream Park. She is a finalist for 2023 champion New York-bred older dirt female honors.


Fillies lead strong day at OBS April sale

A pair of fillies sold for $350,000 and another brought $300,000 to spark a strong showing by New York-breds during Thursday’s third session of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co.’s April 2-year-olds in training sale.

That trio of New York-breds – daughters of Munnings, Omaha Beach and Maclean’s Music – were part of a group of 11 that sold for six figures and five that commanded final bids of $235,000 or more.

Trainer John Kimmel, agent for Nedlaw Stables, landed the first $350,000 filly when he signed for Hip 613, a daughter of Munnings out of the stakes-winning New York-bred Posse mare Sheriffa. Bred by West End Thoroughbreds LLC and foaled at Edition Farm in Hyde Park, the filly originally sold for $160,000 to Niall Brennan, agent for JR International Holdings, at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York-bred yearling sale. She breezed an eighth in :10 during presale workouts.

Consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, agent, the filly is the fifth foal out of $469,984-earner Sheriffa. She’s the dam of three New York-bred winners – Bobbies, Flattering Gal and Kid Billy – and the unraced 3-year-old Nyquist gelding Home Front who sold for $125,000 at the 2022 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York-bred sale.

Bloodstock agent Justin Casse bought the second $350,000 filly, Hip 637, a daughter of Omaha Beach out of the winning Pulpit mare Sister Margaret. Bred by Joseph DeRico and foaled at River Valley Farm in Gansevoort, the filly originally sold to Bronco Bloodstock for $65,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York-bred sale.

Consigned by Ciaran Dunne’s Wavertree Stables Inc., agent, the filly breezed an eighth in :9.4 during presale workouts. She’s the fifth foal out of Sister Margaret, who is out of New York-bred stakes winner Dance Gal Dance and is the dam of the stakes-placed New York-bred Palace Malice 3-year-old filly Maggy’s Palace.

Those two fillies played a role in strong returns for New York-breds Thursday. OBS reported sales on 16 of 18 New York-breds offered in the session for a total of $2,627,000, an average price of $164,188. Overall, 43 New York-breds have sold for $5,453,000, an average price of $126,814.

Hip 611, a filly by Maclean’s Music and half-sister to New York-bred Grade 1 winner Varda, sold for $300,000 to Mike Ryan, agent. Bred by Masters 2013 LLC and foaled at Song Hill Thoroughbreds in Mechanicville, the filly is out of the winning Sky Mesa mare She’ll Be Right. She’s the dam of Varda, winner of the Grade 1 Starlet Stakes in 2020 and a $1.15 million broodmare prospect sale at the 2022 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky November mixed sale. She’ll Be Right is also the dam of Grade 3-placed winner Big Family, stakes-placed winner Getouttamyway and three other winners.

Thursday’s session also featured the sale of Hip 870, a daughter of New York-based freshman sire Honest Mischief to Carson McCord for $235,000. Bred by Sequel Stallions New York LLC, foaled at Sequel New York in Hudson and consigned by Sequel Bloodstock, the filly is out of the unraced Woodman mare Woodflower. She’s the dam of nine winners, including stakes winner and $167,560-earner Magna Rose and stakes-placed $274,820-earner Where’s Dominic.

Honest Mischief stands for $6,500 at Sequel New York in Hudson.

Hip 752, a colt by three-time leading New York-based sire Central Banker, also factored in Thursday’s six-figure haul on a bid of $140,000 from BSW/Crow, agent for Team Hanley & 30 Year Farm. Bred by Spruce Lane Farm, Edition Farm, Mashnee Stables, Copper Beach Stables and partners and foaled at Edition Farm in Hyde Park, the filly is out the second foal out of the unraced Candy Ride mare Tanmawwy. An $8,000 purchase out of last year’s Fasig-Tipton Kentucky winter mixed sale, the filly then sold for $32,000 at the 2023 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York-bred sale to Bronco Bloodstock. She was consigned at the OBS April sale by Wavertree Stables, agent.

Central Banker stands for $7,500 at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds in Saratoga Springs.
